    A very good friend of mine is a FireFighter, Two weeks ago he and his colleagues rescued two young children and their mother from a burning block. They were in a 6th floor flat. A few days before that they cut 2 passengers from a wrecked car. The passengers would have died if not for the speedy and professional work of all the poeple involved including the fire fighters. If you think that has no worth or meaning then I think you may need to re asses your views of the world.

I am a trained firefighter (but not a firefighter by profession) and i can tell you that it is the most difficult job that anyone can ever do. I admire their bravery, skills and I thank them every time I pass by the firehouse. They save lives on a daily basis. How many lives did you save today?

When you're trapped in the 2nd floor of a burning building and they come and get you, you may change you're mind. When you're stuck under hundreds of tonnes of rubble and debris when you're building collapsed you will change you're mind. When you grow up you will learn some respect for people who put their lives on the line to save others "I hope."
