How can I get my sleep back on track?

This is the holiday season and many people have this same problem. No one know's why it is but people tend to be more restless during this time of year. What i've done to correct this problem with myself is i force myself to stay awake until i get to my routine bedtime, i refuse to take those short naps. Just so i'll be able to go to sleep and sleep my normal routine or amount of normal hours. Give this a try and see if it helps.

Let's see, I'm not sure if this helps so much but I think you need to first figure out why exactly you started this sleeping habit. But until you can figure it out, I can try to help you out with a couple of methods I learned. First of all, do you use any methods to help you fall asleep, such as soothing music, white noise, no lights on, etc.? If not, you could try some of those methods, or look up more methods on certain websites. Second I think you may not be fully drained of whatever energy you have and may feel the need to do so when you wake up so early in the morning. So say you wake up by 5 AM and you begin to feel exhausted by 9 AM. By before 9 AM, you could do some exercises or do activities that you truly feel won't put you to sleep. Either that or by the time you wake up early in the morning, you could try not to work first. Just try to stay in bed and listen to some music if you don't so. And also even if you don't fall asleep right away, try to go to bed by before midnight and then stay asleep until you wake up when you hope to. I hope at least one of my methods help. And if it makes you feel any better, I'm having trouble sleeping early for 8 hours myself.

try going to bed early at like 10:30 or 11 then wake up at 7. sometimes i do this . it masses with ur sleeping schedlue a makes everything better and if that doesnt work sleeping and caffine pills

Hi, I had the same problem of sleep disorder during my college days. Those days were stressful, studies and then uncertainty about the future. I would suggest try to relax, read a book and try to divert your mind from things that might be troubling you. My favorite sleeping tactic was take a book and read it before going to bed. I am not talking about interesting murder mysteries but what I felt as boring history books. i say that you do whatever you can to stay awake and at about 9 or 10 o clock sleep and thats what i do before school started

Try going to sleep earlier if you can, and eating more nutritious stuff. Eat more fruit.

Well if you have troubles falling asleep sometimes I take sleeping pill things. They are all natural you can buy it at walgreens, target, walmart etc. It's called melatonin. It really seems to help me when I need to go to bed, but Im not tired. That is weird that you all of a sudden got on such a different pattern, i hope I am helping!
