Is farming possible in Alaska, and if so how long is the growing season?
-
I just wondered, because my mom said that produce was ridiculously expensive there. If it's possible to farm, what are some of there main farming exports?

Answer:
Yes, in the Matanuska Valley. They can grow hay, oats, sweet corn and all sorts of cool season vegetables and root crops. The can grow absolutely huge cabbages in sn extremely short period of time. Not sure of the length of the growing season, but frost free, I'd guess somewhere around 90 days. Hopefully someone else will know that answer.
