How should I improve my sprinting endurance?

Andrew, I ran track for 5 years so I can help you out. One of the things you can do is toe raises. Face a wall and just raise up on your tip toes and back down. Do this several times until it burns. Take a break and do some more. Do a few sets every day. Also go find a big hill in your neighborhood. Sprint up it and jog down 10-15 times 2-3 times a week. This will do wonders for you. You can also "sit" against a wall. Put your back against a wall and slowly slide it down so your in the sitting position about 2 feet above the floor. Hold this for a while then stand up, take a breather and do it again 10-15 times for 3 sets. These will all help your leg muscles at home. If you have a gym strength training can also help.

im a serior in track and cross country. one workout that i do in track is, go on to the road, after you warm up, and pick landmarks like mailboxes or trees on the side of the road and sprint between them. after that take about 1 minute of slow jog to recover and then do it again. keep running and do this workout on a loop you would normaly run. keep the distance of the sprints between 100 and 400 meters.you should get about 2-3 miles in durning the work out. good luck keep running

you seem like pretty slow runner. don't do weight lifting, you have to do that off season. do some stairs, flying 300 jog 100 (4 times) and cool down, and the next days, do some stairs, so basically do some routine work constnatnly. always change what you do everyday. i'm a track star at portland state university. my PR for 100 in my high school career is 11 flat. wish you luck.

60 seconds is NOT horrible. I would suggest doing intervals on your block, like 1.5 - 2 blocks, rest, then again, maybe 6-8 reps. There's nothing you can do at home, you need to be running. Also, make sure you get enough rest between reps, running tired isn't going to do anything for you, it'll just teach your muscles to run tired.

ok, 66 is horrible and so is 60 first you must run distance to build your indurance. dont just sprint for the rest of track. sprinters need to do distance workouts every now and then too.
