How much can I improve my 5k time and how?

    I'm a sophmore and I run xc,but i'm a girl lol. Anyway, there was a couple boys on my team that in their freshman year ran around 19-20 and this year they were running in the low 17s. You just need to do intervals at practice like repeat 800's or 400's,1200's,300's. I'm sure you can get in the 16's or 17's. My legs have already gotten so much stronger just from track to xc season. My dad says you just need time to work on leg strength on stuff. Hope this helps! :)
