Double check your camera settings, was it set to the highest resolution? The size you've stated suggests about a 3 megapixel camera setting which should be fine to at least an 8x10 print. 12x12 might get a bit fuzzy. Certainly don't trash the pictures, a 4x6 is better than no picture. I'd suggest having one printed and see how it looks to you.

You should keep the ones you have because you will never get the past 10 months of his life back. Treasure them no matter what the settings were.

The Brain

Dawg is right. You are seeing them at 96dpi on your computer, that is screen resolution.

no never ever get rid of any pictures that you have of your children dosent matter if they are not a good one still go ahead and print them out then set your camera at 300dpi and try again.that would be 10 months of your childs life thrown away where would all them memories be ?

well lets see you could get rid of them but then you will not get those pictures of his first 10 months back they will be lost forever. Besides as a artistic person you should know that there is no such thing as a useless picture there is always use for it. put it on your computer and you can use it as a screen saver. you could use it as a reminder that every one makes mistakes and that you will not make them again. it is always good to keep them for some reason.

Frankie

print them smaller and DO NOT trash them thats your kid and youll want the memories

Have you tried shooting a 4x6 image? How does it look? You may have some success if you adjust the 72 DPI to 300 and see what size the images become. You now know the rule .. shoot at your cameras highest resolution and buy extra memory cards to hold more photos.
