How to add a block in checkout page in Magento?

Why does my Ecommerce conversion funnel always show 100% conversion rate in the checkout page?

  • Situation according to Analytics: ======================== 12083 shoppers who enter the shopping cart page: 78.20% leave the shopping cart, which leaves... ...2636 that move on to the Checkout (payment) page and 0% drop out. They all convert! Now, I know this is IMPOSSIBLE. What am I doing wrong? Setup in Analytics: =============== Goal Type: Path Match Type: Head Match GOAL path: /cart.php?mode=order_message Step 1: Shopping Cart (NOT required) /cart.php? Step 2: Checkout Page (payment) /cart.php?mode=checkout

  • Answer:

Head match can be a bit tricky to use as it will include for all the pages that include the certain url path. For example /cart.php? (step 1 example) will include even the goal pages. I  recommend that you try using RegEx. A good way to check if your goal funnel works properly is the Goal flow report as it shows historic data.
