Where is the 'startup' folder located in windows XP?

I'm looking for the folder you use when you want programs to load automatically when the computer starts. in windows 2000 i think it was c:\windows\startup - fairly easy ...show more

You're in the good place to find it. There are in fact several startup folders that can be used: C:\Documents and Settings\(user)\Start Menu\Programs\Startup where (user) could be "All users", "administrator" or a custom username.
