Messenger does not respond?

My yahoo messenger is failing to respond and windows xp says errors are due to yahoo?

Yahoo Messenger 8 was creating a lot of problems for me, so I uninstalled it and switched back to 7 and since then I have not faced any problem. So I recommend you to uninstall your YM 8 and switch back to 7 this will automatically fix all your problems especially the common problems of YM 8 like : -Problems in signing in -Problems in alerts and sounds -Problem with more processor usage -Problems with contact list -Problems with contact details -Problems with offline messages. -Problem of sudden turn offs -Problems getting into chat rooms. -Problems with file transfering -Text messages recieved and sent becomes invisible. -Frequent automatic sign outs etc
