How do you grow mushrooms?

It may be cheaper to buy them from the store, but as quickly as they go bad, I wouldn't lay a bet on it. Besides, growing anything at home seems to really add to the flavor; and growing mushrooms are fun! I've done it from a kit before; it comes ready to grow. http://www.gmushrooms.com/pots/ It is illegal to ship mushrooms to some states, though, so just be aware of that. You can grow them without a kit, too. It seems to be much more complicated though. I haven't done it that way but I'd like to try! Personally I'll buy them from the grocery store every time. There are too many poisonous ones to want me even to think about cultivating them. When I was a kid my Dad would take us out to collect wild mushrooms. I cannot believe he did that though obviously no one died. There are mushrooms that are very hard to tell if they are the poisonous variety or the safe kind. Too much risk for me. I'll do store bought.
