Does it hurt to get stitches removed?

The only stitches that will be removes are the ones on the surface. It feels like a light tug on the skin and does not hurt. The surgery hurt a lot more than the suture removal will.

i've had staples and stitches both. it was for c-sections. anyway, it didn't hurt. you could just feel some tugging. no biggie

It does not hurt at all. They cut the thread, not you. it is like getting your hair cut :)
