What causes legs, & ankles to swell? Mine are Now Permanatly swollen & painful?

    you might have stress fractures. are you all of the sudden running a lot or started a sport? when i started track mine swelled up and they(my doctors) said my ankles were just not strong enough for all the running. but at night my ankles kill and the pain runs up my legs(this is a year later and it happened before too.) i think i have arthritis and rls because i roll my ankles when i go to sleep. hope my beginning paragraph helped.

have u checked out with the doctor if u r diabetic or not... because even diabetes may cause swelling. it may also cause due lack of vitamins causing oedema.

Stop eat ting salt. And also you should check your liquids.. You may also check your sugar level referring to diabetic level.

Fluid retention. Eat helathy foods. Check the medications your on. Some cause you to retain fluids. Refer this to your Psych doctor, he may help. In the mean time. Keep of your feet. Keep them elevated, above waiste height and stop having lots of slaty foods.

Well the only advice I can give you is to try to move your feet when you are sitting, like tapping your toes. It will help to increase the blood flow.

get your kidney report,stop eating sour things,like lime water!
