  • Answer:

cross train with other aerobic activities such as swimming, biking, arc-trainer, skating. I would try a treadmill and do intervals, which are like wind sprints to prevent getting out of breath.

Swimming or some type of extreme sport is probably the funnest ways to increase your endurance.

for speed you need to work on short sprints. suicides and 200m repeats or something along those lines will increase your speed. the only way to build endurance is to run a lot. to get it better you need to go for 4-5 mile runs. there is lots of running in soccer and it isn't at an easy distance run pace. most of it is up tempo so when you go for an easy distance run you have to go pretty far to build endurance. if you are getting tired halfway thru a two mile run you should slow down the pace. the only way to get better at running is to run more.

Cross-training with swimming and/or cycling, and I don't mean just going through the motions in these sports. But if you have a moderate background in running, you need to log serious miles - with speed workouts - to get that endurance up...and then facilitate an ambitious cross-training schedule.

you should already have decent stamina from soccer. you could try doing these steps: - Set some goals for yourself. Do you want to increase your energy, build muscle or increase your strength and endurance? - Develop a training plan that is reasonable and achievable. To increase your stamina, you have to start small and gradually move up to the level you desire. - Begin your plan with walking. Walking can improve the efficiency of your heart and lungs, increase your energy level, strengthen the muscles in your legs and help promote a good night's rest. - Build on your walking by running if this is something you want to do. Some people can't tolerate running as it is harder on your knees and joints than walking. - Try riding a bicycle. It is important to find a form of exercise that you enjoy. If you enjoy what you are doing, you increase your chances of success and building on that success. - Give swimming a chance as it is a great form of exercise that may surprise you. It is a low-impact form of exercise that tones your entire body and provides a great cardiovascular workout. - Push yourself past your limits. Once you begin an activity, you will begin to notice it becomes easier and you feel better both mentally and physically. This is an important key to increasing your stamina. - Walk longer distances, walk at a more brisk pace, run or ride your bike a mile farther than last week, swim more laps or increase the weight and/or reps in a strength building workout. Whatever your task, continue to build on it. You will see and feel the results.

Circuit training and HIIT (high intensity interval training) should help. Also, try pling and or training for another sport like wrestling. That will make you a more rounded athlete.

Try other types of exercises. Maybe some types of calisthenics or something. We do a lot of that during our physical training, especially before running, and it usually helps a lot.
