13 miles is a long way Tayler, and if you're not trained for it, lots of things can happen including serious injury that could keep you from running a lot longer time. Go cheer your cousins on, be happy for them, and resolve to start training seriously. There'll be lots of people there just to watch and cheer, so don't worry about that. You don't even have to worry about being left in the dust.. Good Luck

If you haven't been training well for a half marathon, then i wouldn't even run it. You may go out to hard and gain the risk of hurting yourself. I've seen it happen 100 times. Age has nothing to do with it though. When you are at your physical peak I would see no reason why you shouldn't go out there and run the race.

haha my sister and dad were in the same position they dint train at all for a half marathon but they did it in a reasonable amount of time as long as youre in shape you should be fine

I think it's a little too late to train for the half marathon, you will hurt yourself if you try to train for one in a week. Plus, you are pretty young to be running a half marathon, it can put a lot of stress on your body if you don't train properly! Be safe, maybe try a half marathon when you are more prepared?

umm, sweetie I don't know that it's possible for you to do that in a healthy manner with the time you have left. Marathons take weeks..months even.. to train for and you ahve to have good endurance and get to know your body while you train(or rather how it functions ..as in pace etc). Maybe you can try sign up for one in the spring time, it's not that far off anyway but that will give you a much better time span in order for you to hopefully reach your goals realistically.Good for you that you want to run a marathon though.. Goodluck! Ciao! :o)

Try walking the distance of the marathon and jogging as long as you can every day but stop if you have any pain in your lungs or feet take a day off or consider not running it it's way too late to get any major conditioning in. The day of the marathon, don't expect to be in the lead pack, just walk if you have to and you should be able to finish.

Too late to start training now. I wouldn't risk it, you could majorly injure yourself if you haven't trained properly. As far as I know the shortest possible amount of time to train for a marathon is 8 weeks and that is for a healthy adult. Just cheer your cousins on from the sidelines!
