Every night i am waking up with cramps in my leg and sweating what could be the cause?

I used to have this, it was very painful and I couldn't put any weight on my leg for ages afterwards. For me the sweating was due to the amount of pain I was experiencing. I have problems with my tendons not growing as fast as my bones, I was told that that was the reason for this terrible pain. Due to your age I don't think that could be the reason though, maybe it's muscle spasms?

Possible at your age* to be early stage menopause. Leg cramps can be helped with a potassium suppliment or eating a bananna or drinking OJ or tonic water (quinine). I take a potassiun tab 99mg. each day. * Sorry, you're still young!

A side effect to a medication, a hormonal imbalance, or a lack of potassium, too much or too little exercise. More than likely a side effect a med even tylenol.

i had that a couple of years ago...the doctor told me it was because my body wasnt getting enough potassium so he told me to eat a lot of tomato and drink a lotof orange juice... and it worked good luck

Did you stop taking some sort of medicine abruptly? I tried to stop taking an anti-depressant without weaning myself off and I woke up in a pool of sweat with my leg cramped so bad i wanted to cry....
