toulouse is in the south of France and it is actually very nice there. I've traveled all over France for many summers in my life(basically a second home). Toulouse is on the bank of the River Goronne if that means anything to you. The university there is pretty good and if you speak at least a bit of french you're in for a treat. Have fun
