Where to stay in Paris, France?

What is the minimum recommended time to stay in Paris, France to see the major attractions for young people?

  • I am planning to go to France but I do not know how long to stay for, (less than a week!). I want to visit only the main attractions but all I can think of is the Eiffel Tower.

  • Answer:

I recommend 3 days minimum to see all the major sites. This will be reasonably rushed, but not too bad. You should see: The Eiffel tower Cathedral of Notre Dame The Louvre Arc de Triomphe Palace of Versaille Amongst others.

3 days is the minimum to see everything, but I guess 6 or 7 days will be the best to take your time, and enjoy everything. Notre Dame Le Marais (area) Latin Quarter (area) Saint Germain (area) Louvre Luxembourg Garden Eiffel Tower Champs Elysees Montmartre (area) Sacré-Cœur Basilica Les Tuilleries Opera Grand Boulevards .... Enjoy Paris

If you only have a week, I say don't go. There is so much to do and see, you need at least 2 weeks to get a glimpse of the place. Wait until you have 2-4 weeks. You only torture yourself by being there a few days.

You need about 3-4 days.

There is a lot to do in Paris. The main attractions are nice to see, but to really appreciate another culture you need to get involved in their culture. Go out on the town and explore the night life of Paris. I would recommend staying for at least a week to a week and a half.
