What does Plug and Play mean where TFT monitors are concerned?

I am buying a new monitor and a specification I keep seeing is plug and play and I dont know what this means

plug n play means plug it in the computer and you can play with the device
Plug and Play usually means that the drivers are either standard or are already in the basic Operating System. So when you plug in your monitor your Windows or what ever you are running recognises the hardware you have attached.
