DVI Vs. HDMI LCD PC connection..?

    Have you tried switching video resolution? To do it, Right Click on your desktop and a scroll-down menu should appear, click "screen resolution", then under display, it should say Resolution, and next to that there should be a grey box. Click it and choose the recommended resolution. Hit apply and there you go!

DVI and HDMI are very much the same as of Quality,except DVI cannot carry audio. Try changing the settings on your monitor,then on your pc, see if you can get the results you want. or take one of the cards out and try(It could be possible your monitor does not support it)Update your drivers.

Try this...connect your pc to the LCD with the HDMI cable...uninstall the video card driver...it should then go to a small resolution like 800x600 or something like that...go to ATI's website, download the newest driver for your video card and install it...this should work just fine. Hopefully.

That's odd.....something must be wrong. HDMI and DVI are pretty much identical in the digital video signal they carry. Are you sure that all your settings are correct? The black frame results from an improperly set resolution and I think that is probably the problem here. Make sure you set the video resolution to 1280x720 for a 720p TV or 1920x1080 for a 1080p TV.

Well, technically, DVI and HDMI carry the exact same video signal. Could be a problem with your HDMI cable, or jacks on your computer or monitor. Try buying a new cable. Don't spend anymore than $20 on one though. Monster cables and the such are huge ripoffs. If that fails, then just stick with DVI and separate audio cables, I guess.
