LCD = Liquid Crystal Display, like a laptop monitor. CRT = Cathode Ray Tube, like the old style desktop monitors.

LCD is short for Liquid Crystal Display, the difference between it and a conventional TV which uses a Cathode Ray Tube, is the way the picture is created. Without getting into the technicalities of it, a LCD is thinner and some say the picture is crisper. They also weigh a lot less. On the flip side however, they cost quite a bit more. Sony among others, manufactures this type of television.

Well, LCD stands for Liquid Crystal something. And what's cooler then Liquid crystal!? LOL, the image quality is way better, and it allow for more compact screens, smaller screen, which look better style wise, so LCD is better then normal TV
