Homeopathic remedies for nerves from stress?

  • Can anyone suggest any homeopathic remedies for nerves from stress. I've been getting them so bad lately that I haven't slept in 3 days and I'm throwing up all that ...show more

  • Answer:

the best help you can give yourself hon would be first to go to the doctors for full check up, it is not normal to be throwing up and headaches, could just be migraine. but rule things out first. camomile tea is calming and lavender is soothing and good for stress spray it in your bedroom before bed after warm bath.lie down on bed take deep calming breaths, while listening to very soothing music let yourself relax, try to turn your brain off a bit so you can drift off. Also try to resolve why you so stressed in the first place, good luck.

Homeopathic remedies for this kind of problem are individualised - that is they need to be prescribed by a homeopath depending on the whole picture, not just on the self-diagnosis of "stress" or "nerves", particularly as you're getting headaches too. So you could: 1.see a homeopath 2.buy a relaxation CD or MP3, listen to it once a day. 3. Go for acupuncture to address the nerves and the headaches. 4. Take herbal valerian/passiflora from the health shop. Depends on your budget really, but any of those should improve things for you.

You could try some "Kalms" tablets from any Health food store, or get some Bach's "Rescue remedy" both good. If you can't sleep you could also try some Valerian tincture, or rub Lavender essential oil on the soles of your feet

hi cansu, i don't know much about homeopathic remedies but i do know that taking a good vitamin B complex is very good for your nervous system. the B vitamins are essential for us to feel relaxed and happy and often people suffering from stress, anxiety or depression are low on them. there are a lot of Bs so it's best to take all of them in a complex together rather than any particular one. i take vitamin B with magnesium when i'm feeling stressed, it also really helps with sleep. if you ask at your local health food shop they'll reccommend a good brand to you. also getting exercise in will help you to naturally feel good and will help you to wind down and sleep better at night. you might consider a yoga class where you will get exercise but also the benefit of learning to meditate too which can also really help. you might want to consider buying a meditation CD to help you chill out in the evenings before you go to bed. i know it's hard but you need to try to eat and sleep as well as you can as both of these things are very important to keep stress at bay too. it might be a good idea to pay a visit to your doctor to see if he has any advice for you. in the meantime you might like to have a look at this post i wrote, it's about anxiety which is essentially the same as nerves i guess: http://www.anxietyforum.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4087 i've been through my share of problems but managed to make a recovery, so that post includes all the things that helped me get better and i hope that you find it helpful too. i hope that you're feeling better soon xx

Why don't you make an appointment with a qualified Homeopath. He/she will take your full case and prescribe the best remedy for you.
