Without a doubt you should take them to Magic Kingdom. There are several rides that are geared towards the younger ones. Dumbo, Winnie The Pooh, Carousel, Peter Pan, Small World, and others will appeal to them.

Magic Kingdom is the best if you want to do the traditional Disney stuff like meet Mickey and all of the other characters and see the castle. If you want to do something a little bit different you can take them to Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom has some great shows a few rides and lots of animals. You can still see some of the characters but not as easily.

The Magic Kingdom is the tamest of the parks, and as it's name implies, it's full "magic" and whimsy that kids would love. It has many of the traditional Disney characters, like Dumbo, Snow White, Winnie the Pooh, and Mickey and Minnie. These characters are scattered all over the park providing many photo opportunities. It also has a lot of shows, some good, some bad. I wouldn't suggest going to the Finding Nemo show, as it's not very good and always has a very long line. It is somewhat good, but it's not great, thus not worth the wait.

I have a hard time deciding between Magic Kingdom and animal kingdom so I will tell you some things we likes in each when we took our 4. Our kids where 5, 3, 16 months and 2 months. We went to all 4 parks. Animal Kingdom is more laid back. It is easier to move a slow pace and the lines are shorter and it is just easier to get around. I did not feel cramped at all like I did at Magic Kingdom and it is easier to get a stroller around. We love animals too so that was great for us. They have a petting zoo area that I would not miss. Also there is a safari and that is so much fun and the animals are so close but go on the safari early. All the animals sleep in the afternoon and are most active in the morning, just like going to the zoo. There is also camp Minnie Mickey and you can wait in line and see the characters all day long. I like the cute safari clothes too. Oh also you can dig dino bones. Magic Kingdom of course is one of the all time favorites. It has all the popular rides like Peter Pan and Snow white. The kids will love to see the castle and all the different lands. You can go to the tot areas and they have tons of stuff for the little ones to do. There is a play area with a soft floor in case they fall. It is more crowded so be ready for wall to wall people. Magic Kingdom is usually open much later than Animal Kingdom so that may make a difference. It is nice to get up early, go to the parks until noon, and then go back to the room for a nap. Then you can go back to the park around 3 or 4 or even later if your kids want a big break, maybe swimming and a nap. Then they will be ready for the rest of night. Also leaving at noon you miss the biggest crowds of the day. Whatever park you choose, take advantage of fast pass. Get an idea of your favorite rides and which ones offer fast pass. Our entire trip we never waited in a long line. My longest line was to see Mickey Mouse even though my 3 year old had seen Mickey 3 days in a row he needed to see him again. We do a character breakfast for characters, because it is very laid back and you don't feel rushed. Have fun on your Disney trip, the kids will have a blast. Don't let any tell you they are too young because they will love it and they still believe in all the magic. We are going back in December and I can only afford one park this time, and I am having the hardest time decidinging between those 2 parks.
