What do certain dreams mean?

What could it mean to have intimate dreams about friends of the same gender?

  • I am straight and the friends I've had those dreams about are straight as well, but what does it mean to have intimate dreams with men when I am a man myself? That doesn't seem right. Could I be having inner feelings for them and I'm not aware of it? Should I let them know about those dreams? Is it common for men (or women) to be having these dreams? For the record, I am 18 now (so I was a few years younger when I had those dreams), so could my body have been going through a weird stage making me have the intimate dreams? And I am aware that certain foods can make someone have strange dreams, but I don't think that applies to me, I don't eat very much.

I think at that age your body is going through a lot of hormonal changes and it's normal to be curious. It's only a dream and they could signify your only interested in your own sexuality.

its just a dream and doesnt mean squat. Unless you actually do have feelings for these friends of yours. Then thats a whole different ball of wax. The thing to take notice of (at this point in time) is if you are awake and finding yourself daydreaming about other dudes. If thinking about dudes in the waking hours makes your package swell thats the test. All kinds of changes are going on in the human body at that stage of your life. Dont feel bad....I once had an intimate dream about this senior citizen woman in my late teens (I have no idea who she was....I figured she was a metaphor for something/or someone else in my life). I woke up and felt a bit ill. lol. I still to this day dont know what that one was about. You just cant control your dreams and what images they bring. Strange as it is just forget about it.... Another thing if you have an intimate dream about some other dude, I'd keep that to yourself. It might make the other dude a bit uncomfortable. It's ok to keep things to yourself. Your generation has grown up with "it's ok to tell your deepest darkest secret" to anyone. Id just let it go. It's ok.
