How much do the spa services on the Carnival cruises cost?

Would people buy products and services from a group buying site if all or most deals cost $100 or more?

  • These items would be iPods, iPads, laptops, cruises, etc. Or if an item is less than $100, then users will purchase many of the same item. An example is a deal on a high quantity of batteries, light bulbs, flowers, or lumber.

  • Answer:

People buy products at a low price, in the volume they need.  So-called group buying attributes are nothing more than a feint for deep discounts. Now that we are at the crux of it, let's be clear:  In fixed priced goods, the economics of deep discounting are prohibitive because of high-variable costs and low-fixed costs. See my answer here: Said another way: Sure, if you can source the product cheap enough to buy iPods, iPads and laptops and you can flip them at 50% discounts of regular prices, you'll sell product all day long. But chances are your supplier will be bankrupt in a week and you'll be bankrupt right behind them.
