I think eat24.com has really great copywriting. What other websites have an excellent, holistic and disciplined approach to content strategy,  including marketing & descriptive text, errors, notifications, buttons etc.?

  Omg, thank you for asking! I geek out about brand personalities All. The. Time. Both as a consumer and a copywriter. Do what you love, right?  Check out a startup called http://footcardigan.com, which sells sock subscriptions! They have so much personality that shines through in a cohesive way: from FAQs that answer your questions the way a smartass friend would, to shipping confirmations that tell you the "sock fairy" is coming your way. Read their About Us page for a great 10 minute lol break. On the same spectrum, http://cardsagainsthumanity.com/ takes personality to a whole new level by responding to customer tweets and emails with the same type of humor that is found in their game (read: abusive if you ask a dumb question, super helpful if you ask a smart one). Read their Tumblr when you have time to just get lost in the weirdness. If you're looking for something more serious, Holstee (http://www.holstee.com/) is a prime example of brand storytelling using both editorial and visual tools. Most famous for their Manifesto poster, they began as a startup that sold interesting tees & wallets, and evolved to an art card subscription service that encourages mindful living. All elements of their site support this evolved messaging. (Full disclosure: I worked with this company to refine brand story.) The secret of authenticity is that a brand has to have a real personality that carries through in all the ways it communicates with the public. All 3 of these examples are successful because they thoroughly defined who they were and how to express it.
