How can I lose belly fat?

  • I want to lose the fat from my belly, but Im not sure if I can because I am 5'6 and weigh 116 lbs. I know Im already skinny but my belly is actually really big and I realy want to lose it, but Im not sure if I can lose it because then I might be underweight. So whats the healthiest way to loose belly fat??? And also, is it a good idea for me trying to lose the fat?

You can lose it by eating right: avoid fast foods/fizzy & energy drinks/lollies/chocolate{for obvious reasons} & added sugar {to cereals/hot drinks}, avoid white bread {as it's full of sugars/starches} eat lean meats{with little or trimmed fat} & white meats {fish & chicken=not the skin} & as much fruit & veges as you like, drink at least 8 glasses of water a day {it flushes out impurities & helps in the metablism of fats/calories also} , make sure you do Not skip meals especially breakfast{or your body will store fat}. Have a big breakfast. medium midday meal & medium to small night meal {as you need less at the end of the day than the beginning to get you through the day}, if you feel hungry between meals eat fruit or have a handful of nuts/seeds/dried fruit or home made popcorn with nothing added{can fill you up & has very little calories}, do Not eat after 7pm {as your metabolism slows down around about this time in preparation for sleep}. Go for regular walks, use stairs instead of lifts/escalators, increase your cardio workout {as it will help burn off fat}, do a little weight work { as muscle also burns calories/fat}. Eat spicy foods as it increase your metabolism, therefore burning fat/calories. I would advise Not doing sit ups, as they are to build/refine muscle & you don't want to make your stomach bigger. Instead plank:start in press up position, legs & back straight elbows on floor & hands clasped. Hold this Position for at least 30 seconds {& work your way up from there},then rest & repeat until you have done this 3 times {sets}/ also side planks:same times as above, but lay on your side, arm on top straight down your body, other arm on elbow with hand out in front of your body then lift your hips off the floor until your body is straight & hold .. you can do this during ad breaks on t.v. or other breaks.This is also good to strengthen your back as it is a total core training/stabilising exercise.
