How do you get stars?

How to get 3 stars in Mario Kart 7?

  • Okay I bought MK7 like 4 days ago I started to play it instantly. I've played the Wii version a lot so I got first place my first try but I got 3 stars on all the cups on the 50cc except the flower and the leaf cup. So went back replayed all the cups and tried to get the 50cc in all 3 stars but I'm not getting it. I got first place and a big lead in all the races but still only got 2 stars. How much of a lead do you need?? Or is there something I'm missing? I'm not a newbie I've been playing Mario Kart since the NES so why can't I get 3 stars is my question. I mean I'm on the 50cc with first place + a huge lead and I don't have 3 stars. So how do I get the 3 stars??

  • Answer:

Just get a perfect score in all races! Remember, it is based on your combined point total in the races.

First of all, there wasn't a Mario Kart for the NES. The first Mario Kart was for Super Nintendo. (Super Mario Kart) Second of all, there were many things I had to do to get three stars. You mentioned that you got in first place with a big lead. What you also have to do is watch your time while you are racing. The amount of time you take depends on your ranking sometimes, too. A really good idea is to not fall off in any course, because that makes you lose about five seconds, and seconds count in Mario Kart. Well, you do well in your races and don't be Mr. Nice Guy (especially online). ( : Hope this helped ; ) -MG
