Am I allergic to pineapple?

Allergic pineapple any foods that was pineapple in it? ?

  • I am very allergic to pineapple and am getting a epi pin. Anyone know any foods that have pineapple in it you wouldn't think would ? Any one else dealing with the same thing ?

    This is tough since it is my understanding pineapple juice is contained in many blends and foods and identified only as "natural flavorings." You probably need to be wary of hard candies that have acidic flavors such as sour balls. Bromelain is a pineapple-derived enzyme that is added to meats as a tenderizer. That would include such brands as Adolph's Meat Tenderizer. Bromelain is also marketed as an anti-inflammatory under the name Ananase. Good luck and blessings to you. Im severally allergic to nuts, but my younger brother sufferes when he eats pineapple. I dont know what is in the food that makes you allergic, all I know is his face comes up all red and he can't stop throwing up. Good luck with your epi pen though, I have one (never had to use it thankfully) but it's not nice to always have that thought in mind that you cant eat certain foods
