Ear Stretching Help ?!?
-
Okay, I'm stretching my ears. I had a 16g in for about a week. On Friday night, I skipped straight to a ten. I put the tapers in fine, but when I tried to put the plugs in, they wouldn't go in. So, I just slept in the tapers. On Saturday morning, I took the tapers out and cleaned them with Peroxide and put Vaseline on them and stuck them back in my ears. I wore them for about a half hour then I decided I wanted to try and put the plugs in again. So i took them out, and I put the left plug in first. That one went right in with no problem. The right one wouldn't go in. So I put the taper in twice through the front and twice through the back with no problem, but the plug still wouldn't go in. I finally got my sister to get the plug through. But after that, my ear was sore all day. When I woke up today, my ears were fine until my sister laid her head on my shoulder and hit my left ear with her head. My ear really started hurting, so I took the plug out and my ear was bleeding. I couldn't get the plug back in so I ended up taking the right plug out too. Mr right ear was bleeding just a little bit. So I cleaned my ears with Peroxide and sea salt water, and put my 14g hoops in them. I wore them for maybe a half hour and I put the 10g tapers back in. But when I put them in, they burned, and now they have like a weird feeling. They don't hurt, but it feels like a pulling feeling kind of. I was wondering if I should take the tapers out and put the hoops back in, or try and force the pugs back in. I have heard that you aren't supposed to wear tapers after you stretch, but is it better to keep them in until the plugs can go in without any problem ? Also, the tapers and the plugs are acrylic. The hoops are metal. I'm not allergic to fake jewelry or anything, so the acrylic shouldn't bother me.

Answer:
Ok, First of all, you are stretching WAY too fast. Keep the 14gs in, then go to 12, 10g so on. Tapers are perfect for stretching, you heard wrong. But plugs are not. I recently stretched into spiral tapers and it worked out fine but a week later while they still were a little sore I tried putting my tunnels in and they weren't ready. Be patient. Oh and that burning sensation? Completely normal. That's what you're suppost to feel when you stretch. If you went ahead and forced the 10s in, put your tapers in, and keep them there until you feel like they aren't there anymore! Its not normal to bleed, so if you recently just got them peirced I don't reccomend stretching at all until the new peircing heals up. That's usually what happeneds to cause the bleeding.
