HDMI connection problems.

Directv hdmi connection not working, no signal message?

  • So one day my hdmi decided to call it quits. This occured after having no problems for over a year and not changing a thing as far as hardware is concerned. We have service in other rooms, but using non-HD receivers. The issue is that we are seeing a 'no signal' message, even after rebooting/restarting the box. Directv and I have troubleshooted the following: changed receivers, change cables/ports on tv PS3 works fine on hdmi so not TV/cables, installed new coax cables, powered everything on/off, adjusted resolutions manually, tested box on other TV and received the same no signal message, Component (HD) connection doesn't work however Composite (non-HD) connection works fine. Both TVs tested are Insignia's. At this point, I really feel like this has to be software/firmware with Directv. Out of ideas, anyone see this before or have any ideas. Help would be much appreciated!

    If you tested the DirecTV box on other sets and got the no signal error, the box is bad. Tell DirecTV you want them to replace it or fix it. The box is obviously defective.
