Asking someone out on msn?

Why does he keep asking me?

• We've been close friends for around half a year but things are changing. He use to be very very happy talking to me telling me things like you make me happy :) or i'll always be here for you. Well that was all before I told him that I liked someone, I didn't say who though. However in the last month or so after I told my close guy friend who is best friends with him, that I like him, my close friend kept making really suspicious by saying things like "Go walk with her ;)" or nudge nudge or just weird hand gestures. He use to ask me every 2 weeks or so, so how's the guy you like? I'd be like good or bad or okay but recently he's been asking me more often. In the last week he asked me 3 times O-O which is unusual and I'm wondering if it's because he knows that it's him? However right after asking me he always always clarifies that he doesn't like anyone. Why does he keep saying that? He's told me so many times but why does he have to keep telling me? Is he trying to say in a subtle way that he doesn't like me? We sit next to each other in maths but it was the first time on Thursday that he asked me about the "guy" in real life. During that lesson we were talking heaps giggling and play a game together (my friend recorded me and him giggling and kept calling us love birds) This is how the conversation went; Him: So how's the guy going? Me: It's been okay Him: I wonder who it is, hey look at that guy for a second Me: Why? Him: Oh my friend told me that if you like someone your pupils will dilate when you see them Me: Well mine don't Him: I think you should tell that guy that you like them. Me: But I'm sure that they don't like anyone/me Him: But if they do like you it'll be much easier Me: Well if he did, he should tell me first Him: Guys should tell first but maybe their scared, if it was me I would tell them except I don't like anyone So on msn at night he was like OMG my cousin asked me if i had a girlfriend today and i said it's funny how guys get asked that. He was like YEAHH :L then i said i've never been asked so he asked me if i had a boyfriend as a joke :L then i said yes and gave him a link of a celebrity. Everyone thinks that he likes another girl but he's told me several times that he doesn't and he's already told her that he doesn't like her. He also asked me how do you know when you like someone? (General question) and I said all the normal things like nervous around them, think about them a lot and he asked me if I did any of those and I said yes but I'm good at hiding it. I don't know what to think but ): I really like him. Thanks for reading such a long question!

  The next time he asks about the the "guy" tell him it's him as he is already curious and I think he has hatched on he is just waiting for you to tell him.
