Can celexa make you feel high?

It is normal for Celexa, or SSRI's in general, to make one feel a little bit dumber?

  • Just a bit slower and numbed in one's intellect. Is that normal?

  • Answer:

Celexa might be slowing you down some. You have to weigh the benefits with the side effects, and choose for yourself which way to go. For instance, slowing down a bit might be mroe comfortable than being an anxiety-ridden depressed lump that can't get motivated or enjoy life. On the other hand, Celexa's not for everyone. Prozac and Paxil are SSRIs (like Celexa) but they work in a completely different way than Celexa, and you may feel a need to switch. Don't worry there won't be any side effects between the SSRIs. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get the right medicine for your unique metabolism.
