How do u clean the inside of your laptop?

Laptop overheating, how do you remove the dust that is internal inside the laptop?

i have removed the top layer of dust from the fan that you can see with your eyes but i can not remove the dust inside my laptop because i am too scared to open up my laptop, i have also heard that using a can of compressed air to blow through the laptop is bad for it, any other suggestgions on how to remove the dust without opening it?

it can damage the fan by blowing the compressed air directly into the exhaust slot, don't let the fan spin. what i do is use a cable tie (the ones that you get on new wires, or with sandwich bags that have the plastic coating on them) and push it into the fan slot (when the laptop is off) so the fan wont spin and then take off all the panels under the laptop (or you can do that before) and use compressed air to blow out all the dust. this way you get some of it out of the laptop and not just push it around, and also stop the fan from over revving and getting damaged. .

Blow it out using canned compressed air made for cleaning electronics or disassemble the laptop are the only options. You could try vacuuming it out through the fan and cooling vents. Buy a USB laptop cooling pad with built in fans for added cooling.

You can try blowing compressed air through the grills, but the surest way is to take off the covers and blow through the exhaust fans. This is usually a workshop job if you don't feel confident yourself HTH David

Actually no it's not bad but I'd get professional help, I tried enquiring about this by phoning my local computer companies and one of them did say once you open it the laptop doesn't work at all when you put it together but I didn't risk it and got a geek friend that did it properly in short bursts without ramming the nozzle in too far
