Stomach noises, extreme Diarrhea vomiting?

Dog has diarrhea and weird noises from stomach ?

  • My dog has had diarrhea for 2 days now. When I take him outside he hunches over like he's going to poop but only a little bit of diarrhea comes out. I have to keep him in my room at night because he poops everywhere. He also has sqeeky weird noises coming from his stomach. He is eating fine and drinking water. He doesn't seem sad. I have been giving him pectin I bought at petco but doesn't seem to be working. What should I try before I take him to the vet? Should I worry?

When my dog has diarrhea I give him rice, the rice is suppose to help settle their stomachs and get rid of the diarrhea. He prob just ate something that dose not agree with him. If its been 2 days you should probably go to the vet, he could be dehydrated. I would stop all treats and food and just give the rice. You can add broth to it so your dog might be more interested in eating it.

Don't mess around with any otc medication - if this has been going on for 2 days now, and no improvement, then he needs a vet. The biggest danger with this is dehydration. Stop feeding him until you've seen the vet - there's no point putting food on an irritated digestive system, it needs to rest. He should have a supply of fresh water all the time however. Most likely he's just picked up something that's doing the rounds. Usually you starve an adult (it's different, and potentially more serious, with a puppy) and then start him back on boiled rice and chicken with a little natural yogurt.
