How do I shorten video upload time on youtube?

So I want to upload a Video that is 23 minutes long (my account is able to upload videos of this length) and the .WMV file is 3.45 GB. When I go to upload it onto youtube its ETA for completion is around 1200 minutes <.< How can shorten this?

Try converting it to a smaller file size, there are lots of free video converting programs out there. I'm on a Mac and use iskysoft video converter, works great for me. www.youtube.com/slowmotionstudios0

I suggest you use a program to split that file into several rather than 1. This can minimize your upload times considerably. You may also want to rerender your vids as mpeg/mpg's. They are much smaller than wmv and avi's which will lower upload times.
