If i lift 5 pound weights 100 times for each arm will they get tone ? ?

AND IN HOW LONG

Answer:
You're better off working with a weight that you can only lift 20-30 times, but yes, even a 5-pound weight is better than no resistance at all. "How many times" depends on your current fitness level and general health, age, and nutrition, but for a young adult, daily exercise should give you some visible results within a few weeks.

if you are a girl then yeah, and around 3 months. if you're a guy thats probably not enough weight and it wont do as much. unless youre like 10 years old. a ton of people are probably gonna post YOU NEED LOW REPS WITH LARGE WEIGHT, 8-12 REPS, DONT WORK OUT EVERYDAY. dont listen to them, a ton of people think that but its mostly false, you can max out everyday and gain a ton of muscle. just do pushups.
Yes, but that would be ineffective because it would take much longer than necessary. The ideal way to tone and build muscle is to use a weight that you can just barely repeat (with full range of motion) 8 times. Do this three times a day, until you can do it 9 times fairly easily, then 10, then 11. Once you can use a weight 12 times in a row easily, it is time to move to a slightly heavier weight, until you can use that 12 times easily, etc.

I'm sorry to say this, but 5 pounds isn't a lot at all. I ,myself a 13 year old, can do that at 15 per arm. This is just sad lol and I'm on the chubby side too... Put more weight and you'll be fine!!! Good luck to you! Answer mine? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AthGvHbSqC33pBXRHbU45vnsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20120425195752AAWlDUH

More than likely no. You need more resistance. Try buying heavier dumb bells and or better yet, hit the gym. If you want tips on lifting, check out my youtube channel below. all free advice http://www.youtube.com/user/sanitary103?feature=mhee#p/u

No. Your arms will look different if they lose fat or gain muscle. Your diet and overall workout plan will determine those 2 things, not how many weak curls you do.

Definantly. Probably a few weeks. You're making your muscles contract and work, so they get used to it and adapt.

Try the 10 pound weights with half the reps.
