How to get magazine work experience?

I am finding it so hard to help my sister get magazine work experience. Does anyone know of any magazines that offer work experience for university students, or if anyone has any hints or tips on how to obtain experience. It is for the summer break from university preferably before she goes back into her third year of her photography and film production degree. Thanks

You just have to write to them and ask. Are you sure you have been looking hard enough? Because plenty of magazines websites have sections for people wanting work experience and how to apply. Sometimes it's in their 'contact us' section. Well maybe it's something to do with her applications. Her grammar and written style needs to be perfect and even then it might end up in the bin. I've had experience at More magazine and Zoo.
