How to reduce burn marks?

Burn marks on my tongue, but I never burnt it?

• I have these round marks on the tip of my tongue that look and feel just like burn marks. The funny thing is I haven't burnt it recently. Even stranger is that the same marks have come around before, this is probable the 4th time I have woken up with these marks on my tongue. Its been in the same place every time, feels the same, and I really have no idea what it is. I can't seem to find anything online either. thanks for the help in advance.

  One likely cause could be from something you are eating or drinking. Sometimes acidic food such as citrus fruits or juices can cause a reaction and some irritation. Another possibility might be canker sores. Or you could possibly have a thrush infection, though with that you would usually see white patches.
