Is it bad to experience sleep paralysis every night?

Im not sure if i had sleep paralysis?

  • last night i had something sleep paralysis and im not sure if i was dreaming or not. firstly i realized i couldnt really move, well i could move separate body parts but not a lot and not all at the same time. so i then tried shouting for my mum. it came out as "mum" but it sounded like i had a cold or as soon as it left me something was drawing it away and spraying my throat with aerosol. i could also open my eyes but i mainly kept them shut. i kept very slightly moving body parts and finally it felt like i wrenched my stomach over (i was lying on the side). thing is though most of the things on sp ive read theyve said that they felt an evil presence of some sort in the room but i didnt. tbh i was more concerned about being able to move. but i was thinking that if it was sp then it might of not been that bad because it was the first time and also ive looked quite hard into the subject so i know what to kind of do. anyway it wasnt a scary experience like most people apparently have it was more a sort of 'ooh great' thing. when i pulled away my stomach i woke up and i was like well that was interesting. so i tried to go back to sleep but when i was just at the point at dropping off it felt like my body was getting heavily dragged into sleep which made my jump and wake up and this happened loads until i finally went on my laptop and fell asleep at the screen. really the only scary part of the experience was feeling like i was getting dragged into something. also when i was awake trying not to sleep so i didnt get pulled down i felt like i was getting pulled into sleep. around this point but not before ive had bad headaches feeling like my heads been getting twisted and crushed. so after all that was that sp and can people with experience or someone that knows about it help me please? it made me really scared to sleep last night

Yea dude...i had it worse.. i can see things..(once saw a persian looking woman holding me my wrists down) i feel like im being tossed in the room...there was once a hissing of my name in my ear and i could feel the air from the voice hit my ear.... i dont believe in god or demons.. but this **** feels real, could be a manifestation of the subconcious and it feels real because of the semi-sleep state. I have gotten used to it, i normally let the thing have its way and before i know it im awake and can move

Yea, that was your subconscious realizing all women are demons from hell sent to ruin your life, and when they figured it out they tried to get rid of you. But your subconscious fought back and you almost got sucked in but at the last minute you woke up. Don't worry tho Freddy kriuger has patience

yep, that was sleep paralysis. Scary as ****. Everyone experiences it 1 or 2 times at least in their lifetime. It's typically brought on by stress and stuff. My only sp experience was that I fell asleep on my couch during 100 degree weather. It was scary as **** because a picture of van gough popped up in my face and I couldn't move. When people experience SP, it is common to feel/see humanoid figures (zombies, ghosts, ALIENS,)

It definitely sounds like sleep paralysis. Normally when I have an episode, it's just after I've had a nightmare or am waking up from a nap. I always feel like I'm being crushed by something. If I get up and walk around immediately after an episode, I'm always dizzy and not quite sure if I'm awake or not. If I try to go back to sleep right away, I'll normally go straight into another episode. I've had sleep paralysis my whole life, but I didn't find out what it was until a year or two ago. There isn't a whole lot you can do to stop sleep paralysis, but sleeping on your side and/or not sleeping on your back makes the risk of having an episode go down A LOT. Also, I find the more tired I am, the less likely I am to dream, thus reducing my chances of having an episode. Luckily, it sounds like you aren't the type of person who hallucinates during sleep paralysis. If you do sometime later, it's normal, so try to relax. The faster you are to realize what's happening, the better your chances are of getting out of sleep paralysis. I wish you luck, and I hope this was helpful!

Aww man same boat I'm afraid to sleep right now it has already happened twice tonight but it indefinitely sounds like sleep paralysis to me. As you fall asleep, your body slowly relaxes. Usually you become less aware, so you do not notice the change. However, if you remain or become aware while falling asleep, you may notice that you cannot move or speak which accounts for why you feel unable to move switching between non rem and rem asleep and if you become aware during these cycles of sleep you'll experience sleep paralysis
