How to edit contacts (when choosing whom to send text message) on Samsung Galaxy Y (GT-S5360)?

• When I bought it, it copied contacts from SIM card, but on a little bit wrong way. Every contact had its name shortened and with weird characters, and, for instance, a contact with more numbers (i. e. home, phone, work number) had each of those numbers saved as a separate contact. I fixed it by backing up all contacts from SIM (again), changing settings to "in contacts have visible only those saved on the phone (not SIM)" (or something like that) and then I edited each contact (actually, each number). Later, I merged numbers of each contact and got nicely organized contacts, where each had well written name and one or more (how it actually got) numbers "within" them. But later I got to a problem. When I'm sending a text message, when I want to choose whom to send text message, contacts appear as numbers (like when I (above) edited them (contacts, numbers on the phone)), i.e. contact with more numbers appears more times in contacts menu (one for each number). How to change that? I see no available option for that, no matter where I look. Phone is Samsung Galaxy Y (GT-S5360) Thanks in advance!

  Visit your contact list and then, select one of the contacts.. Now, click "Edit" and once you are done with editing, save the contact... Good luck!
