How do I get motivated to get better grades?

  • I'm in 7th grade in middle school. I feel so unmotivated now to get good grades & I want to get the best grades I can because I know it'll pay off, but right now I can't help but think "What's the point?" I understand it'll get me to a good college & everything but I feel like nobody motivates me anymore. My mom doesn't care when I get 100% on a test and neither does my dad. My dad only thinks I should get straight A's, nothing lower. Whenever I get good grades no one seems to care. I feel like the only way I can satisfy my parents is if I get straight A's, but I'm still not quite motivated. I just kind of miss my parents motivating me to do good on my work, like they did last year in 6th grade. I know I'm going to really regret not getting good grades, so how do I motivate myself to get better grades? I'm sorry if it seems like it's a rant or anything like that. I really don't mean for this thing to sound like a rant at all. Please answer.

    Yeah, you got it right. Just remember that whenever you're multiplying to cancel out in a system of equations, make sure the signs are opposite. So in your case, you'd multiply by -4 instead of a positive 4. It is an infinite solution. :)

Hey! Well I basically have the same problem as you haha but I think that you should keep working at it, and kepp your grades up. It'll be sooo helpful in the future! And you probably already know that, but it's true! And trust me I had one slip up in 8th grade when I got like a 75 on a test, and that sure got them motivating me again, but you shouldnt do that! Just keep your grades up, and if your not motivated then talk to your guidance counselor or teachers because they are sure to help! Hope this was helpful! :)
