Facebook timescape on android?

Hi i just want to know what is the point of facebook timescape on android when you have the fb application anyway? I mean on timescape, you cant see group posts and invites.. You cant even post on groups.. So why would anyone bother using timescape instead of the regular fb app? Am i missing out something?
