What is the best workout?

What is the best pre-workout supplement you've used?

  • I've taken Jack3d, NOxplode, 1.M.R., MusclePharm Assault, and Cellucor C4. In my opinion NO gave the best pump, but Jack3d had a cleaner, more steady pump and didn't result in as much of a crash after working out. Not to mention NO made me puke post workout. What, in your opinion, is the best pre-workout supp you've used?

  • Answer:

None - I used jack3d, assault, and white flood - and I felt terrible on all three. It is the equivalent of basically chugging three cups of coffee at once. I actually threw up on assault a few times...that should give you an idea of how good they are for you. I used to think that these products were necessary...until I did a little research. These products really do absolutely nothing for you unless you respond well to the caffeine and other stimulants. They are loaded with ingredients that make you feel like the product is doing something, but really it isn't. They put beta-alanine in to give you that tingle, and the artificial pumps you get provide no benefit besides making you feel good during your workout. Basically is a waste of money...far better products out there to try.

I have tried No-xplode, Fast twtich, assault, Jack3d, CGT-10, Vassive-NO, SuperPump, White Flood and many other since 2004. Some are decent, but 90% of these products are nothing but a load of stimulants. This goes for Jack3d as well, because there is nothing in the product that translates to better performance, more strength, improved stamina and recovery or even delayed muscle fatigue. Though, it does give you a mental kick due to the stims. Now, from my research I realized that the only products I can trust are those that: 1) Do not use heavy stimulants in their product and instead rely on using quality ingredients that really improves strength, muscle pump/size and stamina/endurance 2) Do not use proprietary blends (99% of the products including Jack3d use proprietary blends keeping you clueless on actual dosage and if you are actually getting your money's worth). 3) Stay away from products that are loaded with fillers to make their scoop size bigger look like they contain more servings per container. That said, the only product I use and trust right now for a steady and clean energy, huge spike in strength and pump, not to mention amazing endurance is Bulldozer XL5000. By far this is an all-in--one formula that contains no proprietary blends. It has BCAAs and Glutamine in addition to pre-workout ingredients. It also has 10 mg of Vinpocetine, this is an amazing ingredient for improved focus, concentration, memory and overall alertness. The ingredient is not a stimulant, and has been used for its neuroprotective properties.

Nanostim. The others have a cumulative tolerance effect and lose their "punch" after about 2 weeks. The nanostim is still kicking in after 3 weeks and I will cycle off of it after next week. I don't use the others anymore because they have bad long term side effects like anxiety and restlessness as well as loss of intensity. i only used them to critique them for the companies that make them. I don't recommend supplements because I believe in nutritional hormone stimulation and natural methods.

NO products do not work to be honest. L-arginine doesn't change serum NO levels. It was probably a placebo effect but if it works for you even better. My fav c4
