Has anyone on GWS worked as a census taker?

  • Its 2010 census time again. If you worked as a census taker in 2000. What is the job like ? Is it a good job for a female friend of mine ?

    I did. It was a great part time job, very flexible and the pay and mileage are reasonable. I would say it's a good job if you have your own, reliable transportation, are not intimidated by speaking to strangers, know how to take rudeness in stride but maintain positive until then, and are self-motivated and capable of keeping careful track of your mileage and hours.
