How do you iron on dark t-shirt transfer paper?

Directions for avery iron on transfer paper?

  • I have avery iron on transfer paper, I havent used it in over 2 years, and I've lost the directions. I can't find any help on their website. The paper has a grid side, and a blank side. Which side to I print on? Do I have to print a mirrored image? Which side do I iron? And is there a part thats suspose to peel off (pretty sure there is)? do I peel it off before or after I iron?

  • Answer:

The blank side is what you print on. If it make no difference which way the picture looks you don't have to use the mirror image. After the ink is dry, put it on your article and iron the grid side slowly. It could be a hot peel or a cold peel. When still hot try a tiny corner and see if it comes off easy and correctly. If not reheat the corner and let the whole thing cool before peeling.

You print on the blank side. You don't have to make a mirror image unless it's something like a hand wearing a wedding ring - you don't want that on the right hand - or a picture of a sign or building with words on it, as the wording would be backwards. Design it, flip the image if necessary, print on blank side, iron on, and many times it loosens by itself, or just peel some of it back.
