Are tahoe boats good quality boats?

  The price is decent, but the quality is generally not. If you're looking for a boat to last you a long time, look at Chaparral, Crownline, or Four Winns. These are going to cost more, but the quality of boat is much better and it will be worth it in the long run if you plan to keep your boat 15-20 years or more. Sea Ray also make nice boats. Obviously, how you care for it will have a big impact on how well it runs and how it looks over time. You will have to wash and wax it, keep the seats nice looking, winterize it, perform annual maintenance, etc. If you plan to store it on the water, look for a dock with a lift to keep it out of the water. Algae will form around the edges of the hull if you store it in the water for extended periods of time without cleaning or use. The saying, "What you pay for is what you get" applies when you are buying a boat.
