How to fix boat throttle?

I have some problems with my boat?

  • this boat is a 1990 galaxy, 2.5 L. OMC inboard engine. my uncle gave me this boat for free as a project to fix up. he said it idoles fines and but when you go full throttle it studders like it would chock itself out but it doesnt. my friend said it might just need the carborator cleaned. does any one have any suggestions one what my problem could be? my uncle also said he didnt winterize it over the winter but it was in like a storage unit. what is the chances that i craked the heads or the block? and if they are how easy is that to fix?

    Yea, dump a can of Sea Foam (gas conditioner). I had the same problem with my boat and it made it run like new.
