Why I never received my order from a store in the uk?
-
On June 01, 2010, I ordered a few things from a store called Afro World-uk. My order came to $62.79. I was expecting to receive an email from afro world -uk to give me a day that they would ship my order. I have a receipt that I copied off the computer from the store where I made the order. Her it is going on 2 months and I have not heard anything about my order or my money which went through paypal and 3 days later when my bank statement came it was on my statement. I emailed the store and no one never answers me. lately I went on the computer to check what was going on and they have processing my order which been on their web site for the last almost 2 months. And yesterday I went to check the process again and now it says that their site is under construction. How can people just create a web site and promote things or items and and they know it is a scam. I just now have a system on my computer where the people tell you if the web site is a scam and next to this store they have a question mark, I wish I would have gotten this system earlier and then I would have known not to place an order with them. For anybody who comes across this site AFRO WORLD -UK don't order nothing you probably won't get your items you ordered or your money back, And I KIND OF FAULT PAYPAL TO BECAUSE THEY SHOULD KNOW WHO THEY ARE DEALING WITH.

Do you have a proper mailing address with the city or town in th UK? Think you may have been scammed. Google "Trading Standards" for the town or city and email them. If you get through to the right people they will investigate for you. Good luck but I suspect you wont have this info(?)

Pretty much anyone can set up a Paypal account to do business with. I'd complain to Paypal, I think if you pay through their portal, it offers some kind of payment protection (which your credit card may have too), but I'm not 100% sure (someone please correct me if I'm wrong!). It's a good idea to research the sites you buy from, especially if you're spending so much money there - look for reviews, experiences etc. See about sending an email to Paypal, see if there's anything they can do.
