How does paypal work when shopping online?

  • i dont have a credit card just a debit but everybody tells me not to buy nothing online with my debit card

So instead of you paying directly to the seller with your debit card, (which might expose you to security issues as there's plenty of people out there who are stealing people's payment details), you use PayPal to make the payment. Before that, you just need to create a PayPal account and link your debit card to PayPal who will verify that the details are correct. So when you pay online with PayPal, PayPal pays on your behalf and then bills your credit / debit or bank account which is a safer method of paying. Hope this helps. Tyler

I have a debit card too that I use for online and I have not had any problems. For paypal, you just put in your debit card information and it will save it for you. This makes it so easy to buy stuff because if you want to purchase something from an online store, instead of reinserting your card number every time, you can just click the "pay with paypal" button. It's so amazing! I would recommend it.
