Which is better petrol or diesel?

Which is better to buy - Maruti Swift Dzire Vxi (Petrol) or Vdi (Diesel)?

  • I have travel of about 30-40 kms a day with 50% highway and 50% city distance. I plan to keep the car for atleast 5 years in good condition. Can anyone please suggest which variant of Swift Dzire would be most suitable since diesel variant costs 1 lakh more? Also, advise if resale value of Diesel would be more than Diesel, assuming good working condition. Thanks!

Since you will be driving more than 30-40 kms daily, you should definitely go for the diesel. The Fiat derived 1.3 multiget engine is extremely fuel efficient and there is not much difference in performance between the petrol and the diesel. Oh, and don't worry about the resale value.
